I gave the new RTTY internal modem a try and am having a problem with transmitting. I am using AFSK using USB audio codec with my TS-590. The transmission, reception, PTT, and other functions appear to be working correctly, however I think it is not transmitting correctly. After many transmissions with no response, I tried listening to my signal on websdr.org on a second computer. When I feed my browser output into fldigi, it decodes correctly when using the fldigi RTTY modem, but when transmitting using the RL modem, the received text is completely garbled.
Does anyone have this new function working correctly, or are there any known problems? It looks like a nice enhancement to RL and I look forward to getting it working. One other question: I don't see any integration with QSO logging from the RTTY window. Am I missing something there? or maybe a future addition?
Thanks,
Mike

RTTY Modem Transmit Problem
Re: RTTY Modem Transmit Problem
Pending on your setup you should try Reverse for TX. RTTY is used in LSB.

Re: RTTY Modem Transmit Problem
I need to do more testing, but I think that may have fixed it. Is that what the two buttons do on the lower right corner of the RTTY window, under "RTTY Settings"?
Thanks,

Re: RTTY Modem Transmit Problem
Yes. With TX revers and RX revers you can swap Mark and Space.

Thanks, Tom. It's working now. I'm not very experienced with RTTY so I was afraid it would be something simple like this.
