WSJT-X integration on Ventura broken

Unread post by LA0FA »

After upgrade to Ventura the integration from WSJTX/JTDX to RumLogNG is not working anymore. I see the UDP packages correctly sent (have checked with JTBridge) - using port 2237 ... verified many times that parameters in RumLogNG are correct. One observation : the WSJTX Checked in message/status in RumlogMG's Network Status is missing. Obviously WSJTX has lost the contact with RunLogNG. Any idea how to find the error ?

It must be a local problem on your side. What have you set as USD Server in WSJT-X? I've seen sometimes trouble when set to localhost.

Problem solved: writing localhost instead of 127.0.0.1 in wsjtx and jtdx actually solved the problem.

Me and others made the same observation, it's not Ventura specific. Maybe a network specialist can explain it.

I wonder if this is an IPv6 issue, where using 'localhost' resolves to the IPv6 loopback address instead of IPv4 in cases where it's not working.
