I'm trying to connect WSJT-X to the transceiver via RUMlogNG instead of directly. That way RUMlogNG can be connected to the serial port all the time, and no reconfiguration is needed when running WSJT-X.
I am very interested in this functionality. It would be nice to have JT-Bridge interface with RUMlogNG to allow for WSJT-X interface. At quick glance would using the network stack bound to the loopback (127.0.0.1) interface to communicate be the best path to still maintain sandboxing of the RUMlogNG and hopefully not interfere with the acceptance into the Apple store.
From what I can tell Windows is using virtual serial ports and/or Windows DDE for this type of communication/sharing.
Thank you SM0THU for looking into this so quickly.
Just for let you know I am know testing the integration of WSJT-X with RUMLogNG. FOr the time being, directly they are not "good friends" but I will try using JT-Bridge.
You responded to a 9 month old post. I think you will enjoy using JT-Bridge to work with wxsjt-x. My info in QRZ is unto date if you need any assistance grab my email from there.
Yes, it works smoothly, thanks for the support. JT-Bridge is doing a great job with RUMLogNG and WSJT-X. I have got also an applescript to log the QSOs into RUMLogNG ... so great!
