Maybe the WAEDC contests are the most challenging contests of the year. RUMlog supports you in sending QTC (non European stations), receiving QTCs (European stations) or both (RTTY part). All three operating modes are supported. There are some importand differences in the rules between the CW//SSB and the RTTY contest. Only in the RTTY part all stations can send and receive QTCs. Therefore the program messages are slightly different.
You will see a QTC information after entering the callsign and pressing the space bar. The left part of the message (Dupe station or Needed station) refers to possible QSO points only.
Only QSOs between European and non European stations are allowed, there is no further QTC message provided:
When you have already exchanged 10 QTCs, the information is shown in red text colour:
A QTC message printed in brown colour indicates, that you haven’t enough QTCs available to reach the full 10 points. The number shows the number of the total available QTCs:
When you have a sufficient number of QTCs available to get the 10 points, the QTC message is printed in a green text colour:
When you never have received a QTC from this station, the QTC message has a green text colour:
A QTC message in brown text colour indicates, that you have already received few QTCs, but not all valuable 10 points:
Continental QSOs are valuable in the RTTY part, but you can’t exchange QTCs:
When you have already exchanged 10 QTCs, the information is shown in red text colour:
Two numbers can be shown: Required number of QTCs to fulfill all 10 / Number of available QTCs
If you have enough QTCs available to fulfill the 10 points, the message is shown in green. This info indicates, that you have to exchange 5 QTCs and you have 13 available:
If you haven’t enough QTCs available, the message is printed in brown text colour:
It is always possible to log received QTCs, but you can reach maximal 10 points. RUMlog doesen’t allow you to send more than 10 QTCs.
All exchanged QTCs can be viewed here: Menu–>Contest–>Show QTCs. You can’t edit logged QTCs!
