Send QTCs |
It is possible to send QTCs to stations, where it should not be allowed. This is to overcome a possible problem, when the continent calculation is wrong for any reason.
Before you can open the Send QTCs window, there must be an active callsign:
- Callsign from the Callsign field in the contest window
- A marked QSO line in the logbook table
- The last logged callsign
RUMlog provides the QTC series number and the QTCs to send. The given series number is editable, for the case that the station wishes to get less QTCs. You can’t send more than 10 QTCs and a QTC doesen’t include the same station’s callsign.
On top of the window you can see how many QTCs you have already exchanged with this station.
The QTCs to send are listed in the table. Selected entries can be deleted, if the transmittal fails.
When you hit the Enter key, the marked QTC changes the background colour to green. This indicates that the QTC was sent. This is for operator’s convenience only.
Pressing the button Save will save the QTCs to your log. All QTCs in the table will be scored and are not available any longer. An edited QTC series number will affect all listed QTCs at this point.
Once saved, you can’t edit the QTCs anymore. View the QTCs using: Menu–>Contest–>Show QTCs
Transmit memories for CW and RTTY
A SSB voice keyer isen’t available here, memories are available for CW and RTTY only. These are independant and are valid in the QTC Out window only:
- 5 memories for free text, using the buttons on bottom or the function keys F1-F5
- 1 memory sent when you want to send a QTC (Enter key, when there is a row selected in the table)
- 1 memory sent when you have finished a complete QTC series (Button Save)
The Escape key and the Abort button terminate all transmissions.
You find the settings in the Contest Preferences under the QTCs tab. Following placeholders are available:
- His Call: The callsign from the QTCs from field
- My Call
- QTC Series
- QTC Time
- QTC Callsign
- QTC Number
For RTTY is an additionally New Line placeholder provided.
For the memories F1-F5 you can set the button title.
