After V2.9, a saved Q would go to file but not appear on the contest logging screen. And prior to installing V2.9, on V2.8, the following contest features were not working for me:
1. The "Follow TRX" box was checked, but no frequency read-out is showing, and the band selection (green bar) is by mouse click only. The band map is stuck on 20m. RumLogNG tracks the radio for normal logging but not in contest mode.
2. In ESM S&P, the Mac "return key" or the combo of "fn key + return key" only logs the Q, but will not initiate the F2 message prior to logging. Is this correct?
Well, there is a problem with the green bar. I have to check.
The other CAT functions are working fine. Please note, for the contest the trx#1 is supported only.
When you have a Macbook like keyboard, just the Return key sends the F6 message and saves the QSO. Please note: F6 is the exchange for S&P.
Pressing Fn + Return, the QSO will be saved only.
By moving my contest radio from trx#2 to #1, the keys started falling into place. And, by moving the S&P exchange to F6, as clearly stated in the Contest Preferences, took care of the Return key problem. I then renamed my CQ-WPX contest file and opened a new file with a QSO number starting where the old contest "screen" display quit updating after V2.9 was loaded. Then entering a few dummy contacts using ESM in both S&P and Run modes, the radio tracking with frequency readout, and the "green bar", and the screen log display seemed to function as you may have intended.
