Hi Tom,
I wonder if you could add this new radio to RUMlog? If required, I can send you the data instruction set.

Regards

Ian

I've added the IC-7100 but I can't test it, because all my Icoms can't be set to an address above 7Fh.
Please download and test it: http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMlogBeta.zip

Hi Tom,
Thanks for the work. It is not working for me at the moment so a little more on my setup. I have downloaded the USB driver from Silicon Labs, which is the USB/UART bridge chip that Icom use from http://www.silabs.com/products/mcu/page ... ivers.aspx
I have tested this with the trial version of MacLoggerDX which sees the radio fine. So I have copied the settings from there and RUMlog is not seeing it. Is there something else needed to see the radio over the USB?

:( :( :(

Do you see the correct port in the TRX settings?
The baud rate is the same as set in the TRX menu? You should avoid using the "Auto" selection.

Both directions are not working? Enter a frequency in kHz into the "Callsign" logging field and press Enter.

Ahh! Interesting. RUMlog is seeing the radio but not entering it in the frequency field. The field stays red, even if I enter a callsign and hit the TAB key. The screenshot shows this

Hi Tom,
I just connected my K3 as well and it suddenly started working. I have now disconnected the K3 and it still appears to be working. I will report back if I find any issues. Sorry if I was sending you on a wild goose chase :)

Yep, working fine :) I don't know what happened early on but this seems to be great! Many thanks for the speedy addition. This is a great radio by the way :)

Hi Tom,
Just so you are aware, it would seem that RUMlog is not talking to my IC-7100 again. The other logging program sees it OK so I am not sure what is happening or why it was seen at one time but not the other. I will continue to investigate.

OK, I have had a little time to play with this. When I start RUMlog, the IC-7100 cannot be seen. If I remove the radio's in preferences then put in the 7100, it sees it and works. When I quit RUMlog and then restart it, I have to do the same again. It's like it simply forgets. I have tried a restart of the Mac but still the same.
