Feature question/request: address labels

Unread post by k4jh »

Are there any plans to add the ability to print address labels, fetching data from hamqth.com/qrz.com (or whatever other sources, like QSL manager lists, etc)?

  • Do a HamQTH.com or qrz.com query, so the address is shown
  • Select Menu-->QSL-->Add Address to Printer Queue
  • Repeat the steps above how often you want
  • Select Menu-->QSL-->Print Saved Addresses
Alternatively you can use the following when an address is shown:
  • Menu-->QSO-->Add Data to Addressbook
After that you can use the Mac's address book to print the labels.

Perfect! It will use the same label template chosen for QSL labels?

The same label size and sheet layout will be used. In the Mac's address book you can make your own settings.

Well, it does use the same label template, but it appears that the page layout values are not saved. For example, if I go to the label editor, I see that the vertical gap is 0.00", and the QSL labels print fine, but the address labels have a larger gap, so the rows are shifted a bit, and the bottom address lines runs into the next label.

Please send me your label layout for investigation. In the label editor use the "Save" button in the "Paper and Label size" section.

BTW, make sure you have set all borders to 0 in the OS-X printer settings.

I emailed you the template. Thank you for looking into this.

What do you mean by OS X printer settings borders?

See the user's manual page 68. Note the "Custom Paper Sizes"!
