I had a thought about using one of the nicer USB microphones to tx to the radio for SSB contacts.
Currently, I can run my rig remotely using the Kenwood software and IP-Sound, and it works pretty well for remote rig work.
But, what I would like to do, is to have a hot key on the keyboard while in RUMLog, to where when I use for instance the "space" key, it keys the radio, and directs the sound from the USB microphone to the radio's data input. This would be like how I use remote rig, but instead, sitting right in front of my mac.
Any hints as to how I should go about this?

Re: Using a USB microphone with RUMLog
The primary function of RUMlog is the logging tool, not the rig control. There should be tools out there, for your desired audio routing.
