Hello All
I have recently started using Rotor after moving my shack to MacOS - a few things are not clear to me
1 I have two rotators (both AlfaspidRAK), when using the Rotor App, my 6 metres antenna rotates through 0 degrees - ie if I am at 5 degrees and want to rotate to 355 degrees - the rotor will move anti clockwise and move just 10 degrees. With my HF antenna, the rotator wants to rotate through 180 degrees so it will move clockwise and rotate a full 340 degrees to get to 355 degrees. I can not see a setting in Rotor that controls this (nor in the manual for the Alfapid). Both rotators were swinging through 0 degrees when using PST Rotator. Any ideas as to what is wrong here?
2 In the turn box - it says you can post numerical direction, grid or call. If I put in say 320 the rotor will rotate to 320 degrees. But if I put in a full callsign or a dxcc prefix the rotator does not move. How do I get the "call" functionality to work so I can put in a callsign and the rotator turns toward that callsign location? I am using Rotor stand alone - ie not connected to Rumlog - is this the problem?
Any help is appreciated
Cheers and Thanks

Rotor Operational Questions (vk4ma)
Re: Rotor Operational Questions (vk4ma)
The app commands the controller to move to the specified heading. It's the decision of the controller in which direction the antenna has to turn.
The app includes a database with ca. 60.000 callsigns with grid squares. These are mainly active in VHF contests.
Here is room for more improvements.
