FTdx10 CAT Issues

Unread post by KD3M »

Hi! I seem to be having a slightly unusual challenge. My FTdx10 regularly fails to communicate with RumLogNG over CAT. It will go from working fine in the morning to not being able to work at all in the evening. When I enter the CAT information and hit "Okay", the khz icon and the mode go green (which usually seemed to mean things were working), but the frequency stays locked in to whatever was last communicated by the radio. Moreover, it goes green even when the radio is *off*. I have tried switching between the two SLAB USB serial ports whenever it fails to communicate, but that doesn't seem to help.

The only thing I can think of that I've changed is the radios firmware this past weekend, which may or may not be related.

Things I've tried:
- I've uninstalled and reinstalled RumLog. Both from the download page and from the App store.
- I've reset RumLog by moving the folder under ~/Library/Containers to a new location and letting it create a fresh one.
- I've successfully configured both WSJT-X and MacLoggerDX to communicate with the radio using identical settings to what I'm putting in to RumLog. Both seem to be working normally. Whenever RumLog stops working, I double check with one of the those tools and neither ever seems to have an issue. As such, I don't suspect something is wrong with the radio.

What else should I try here? I've tried to find log files that might yield errors or information, but so far have been unsuccessful.
