Adding Alarms

Unread post by K4HNT »

I know I can add alarms in the Preferences > DX Alarm under callsigns. Is it possible to update this list without manually entering them here? For instance in DX Logger, there is a command line that can be used to add a call its watch list and in Windows, N3FJP this is done by editing a txt file.

My use case is for getting notifications for Current Expeditions and Special Event Stations. For the two logging programs mentioned above, I have written scripts that will scrape the calendar of a popular Expedition site and automatically add the proper calls to be watched In the same manner I can add lists of SES much more efficiently.

Thanks,

Sorry, even though I searched the forums, I didn't find this thread until after the post DX Alarms callsign imports. However this is from 2017, has anything changed?

Here is an add on (app) to RUMlog for your use case: https://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/SeekYou.zip
You can create your own lists with callsign to monitor.

This looks PERFECT!!! Thank you very much, looking forward to getting into Rumlog more. I enjoy learning the applications and this application is very nicly done. It looks like it fits my needs perfectly, I like to hunt DX, SES stations as well as host SES events and participate in a contest or two. Next week I will be operating as N$F sES for fire prevention week and will be using Rumlog to log the contacts. Hope to work you!
