rumlogng - n1mm

dear OM,

I'm trying to log the freq, mode and power from my rig and the date from my laptop to rumlogng.
reading the rig details and date from my laptop works fine. Using hamlib and perl.
I try to send via udp a xml like string (n1mm, tried appinfo, radio and contact) to rumlog, udp works fine, tested it.
But some how i do not see any data entering rumlog.

Can you give me a hint or sample how to enter this?

There is no provision for that. Logging works from another RUMlog instance only.
You could use an AppleScript to log QSOs from another application.

I did not fully understand your intentions. Why do you want to log from another program? When it's interesting for other users, I'm sure, we will find a solution.

Hello Tom,

Thanks.

The thing is, i have a ic7300. Like wsjtx/jtbridge after the qso ther's a pop up with the qso detals and this is writte=n to Rumlog. I love this!.

Now when i make a phone qso i would like to get with an app (perl app which i wrote) to get the used frequency, mode and the power from the rig and write, this after only adding the callname, to rum log. This is less "work" then putting freq etc.. by hand.

This was the main idea.

You haven't connected the trx to RUMlog? This should be the best solution for most cases.

BTW, the next RUMlog version can log QSOs from WSJT-X directly without JT-Bridge.

Hi Tom,
Thanks, i haven't did that. I will try.
That would be great that logging can be doen directly from wsjtx.
Thanks for the quick answers.

Except, when wsjtx and rumlog are both active wsjtx losses connection.
So i have to switch off rumlog.

Think i stick with the old way.

Thanks,
