PJ - Deleted DXCC - How to edit DXCC.rsd???

Unread post by DL2RUM »

PJ2 (Netherlands Antilles) and PJ7 (Sint Maarten) are not valid for the DXCC any longer. All your contacts before 10-Oct-2010 will not be valid for the DXCC. Find attached the modified dxcc.rsd database. Copy dxcc.rsd into you RUMlog folder and recalculate your DXCC status. (See below)

If you want to keep your own database, start EditDXCC.app from you RUMlog folder and perform the following:

Under the "DXCC" tab you can delete the entries for PJ2 and PJ7:
PJ-DXCC.png
Under the "Prefix" tab delete all PJ1-PJ9 entries and add a new Prefix just called "PJ" and enter the following data:
PJ-Prefix.png
The '"##" will mark all callsigns starting with PJ as invalid before 10-Oct-2010.

If you have callsigns from PJ in the "Calls" or in the "Areas" List, delete these rows as well.

Restart RUMlog

Your QSOs must me recalculated now. Use Menu-->File-->Recalculate DXCC. This will flag all QSOs with PJ as "Invalid for DXCC".

The ARRL has not decided yet, how many and which new DXCC entities will be added.

Adding the new entities

Under the DXCC tab add following rows:
PJ-DXCC.png
Under the Prefix tab enter following rows:
PJ-Prefix.png
When you have logged the new DXCCs already, you have to recalculate your log:
- Restart RUMlog
- Use Menu-->File-->Recalculate DXCC.

Here you can download the modified file:

Don, W0DJC noticed a failure after updating his log: All HB0 stations showed up a wrong ITU and CQ zone.
The failure was hardcoded within the RUMlog application. This caused all HB0 and most W stations to show wrong zones in the log. I guess the failure is since around version 4.4.12 (Summer 2010)

Here is the corrected version: http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMlogApp.zip
When your HB0s show wrong, recalculate your DXCC using Menu-->File-->Recalculate DXCC

Just found the following: (http://dx-world.net/2010/new-dxcc-count ... formation/)
Below are what will be the DXCC assigned country codes for the new entities once they are entered into the DXCC system:

517 – Curacao
518 – Sint Maarten
519 – Saba and St. Eustatius
520 – Bonaire
Note, the country codes for what will be the deleted entities will not change, they will just be flagged as deleted entities.

Online, the only place where these codes are posted is in the text version of the DXCC list. Once we officially add the new entities to the DXCC software this list will then be updated to show the official changes to the DXCC list.

That means, the ADIF numbers I found first, are not correct.

Thanks for the guidance on this Tom.

I updated my DXCC.rsd this morning and now am finally able to keep track of which modes/bands I have worked the "PJ's" on.
