K3 Controls
Tom,
I wonder if you plan on including the "Show K3 Controls" function in RUMlog as it is in RUMped?
BTW, thanks for including the K3 keyer as a choice for CW.

Re: K3 Controls
Is there anybody else out there who does have these wishes?

Re: K3 Controls
These days since RUMlog has gotten so well developed almost everything is a "nice to have"
Not knowing any better, I just thought than since Tom had already done the work to integrate it in to RUMped it wouldn't be too tough to add it to RUMlog.
Not a big deal, just 'nice to have'...

Re: K3 Controls
Wow!
That's great, even better than in RUMped.
Having access to the memories and macros is slick!

Re: K3 Controls

Just thinking about macros, executing automatically after an event happens, like band or mode changes. Any thought?

If you want to test the new features: http://www.dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMlogBeta.zip
The RUMrouter application is required for the MKII only. New is also the integrated RTTY and PSK interface, using cocoaModem as modem. Tnx Chen, W7AY!

Re: K3 Controls
I use the "pseudo" band stacking registers using the four memories per band and the K3 remembers enough for me as I switch modes so I can't think of any automatic, or triggered macros off the top of my head.
A couple of macros that I have been thinking about though would be to pre-set the TX Eq for Normal, DX and maybe an ESSB profile.

Re: K3 Controls
Downloaded the beta and playing with it now.
I guess it's intentional but it's interesting the way the CW Control panel grabs focus from the K3 Control. If I had the CW Control panel open I would be using it's memories for CW instead of the internal ones so that's OK. I wonder about Macro's though but I see that that would only require a double click on the Macro button (one to get focus and the second to run the macro before the focus shifts back to the CW control) so that should work.
In the VFO B box where IF Center is in VFO A it says "Different Bands". I am trying to figure out what that means.
BTW, I just noticed a nice feature. I noticed the NR was on for my Sub Receiver when I didn't realize it was since that won't show on the display panel of the K3 if NR is off on the Main.
I also like being able to see the IF Width for both without having to move the knob on the radio to read it.
I guess with this easy access to Macros I am going to have to learn to write some!
