I discovered a problem with my logs when I cross a date boundary. I have "Log QSO end time set." I use User_1 as "Start Time" (TIME_ON). In my attached log QSO 2004 was started at 4/6/2025 at 23:48:37 and ended 4/7/2025 04:35. However, if you look at the entry in ADIFMaster, it shows QSO_DATE_OFF and QSO-DATE the same 4/6/2025. This causes the QSOs to sort incorrectly and appear in QRZ wrong. I'm sure I am logging incorrectly. Can someone please straighten me out?

Date Logging Problem
Re: Date Logging Problem
Maybe I can answer my own question or just further confuse the issue. I know nothing about ADIF and its specification. In looking at what I can find about ADIF, I can only see field QSO_DATE as pertains to dates (other than QSL related). It looks to me like QSO_DATE is always the start date? In RumlogNG, I see a field called QSO_OFF_DATE. I don't see this defined anywhere. Is this a RumlogNG only field and therefore ignored if read by another logger (ie, QRZ or in my case SKCC)? It appears to me that QSO_DATE and QSO_OFF_DATE always contain the same date. However, when a date boundary is crossed both dates contain the QSO end date. This then becomes inconsistent with other loggers. In the case, I show, to be consistent QSO_DATE should be 4/6/2025 and QSO_OFF_DATE should be 4/7/2025?
Re: Date Logging Problem
Well, I see the problem in RUMlog, but this has a historical background.
In earlier ADIF specifications we have had already the <TIME_ON> and <TIME_OFF> tags, but just the <QSO_DATE> tag. It was not defined if this refers to the start or to the end time. Then we got the <QSO_DATE_OFF> tag and the story became clearer.
I have to update RL, thanks for the hint.

Re: Date Logging Problem
Your welcome. This has only come to my attention since joining SKCC and using their logger at times (until I found someone that had implemented a script for RumlogNG). I love RumlogNG! Reminds me I need to donate. Thank you Tom es 73. Peter- WB3IZU
