After reading W0DJC's post I went back and left the Control Window running most of the day.

In my case it still didn't get beyond the original 10% or so.

I have App Nap turned off on RUMlog and am using a "Chairside" two port USB/Serial adaptor with the FTDI chipset.

Seems to be performing fine now.

Thanks for the reports.
Another user has also the problem with the increasing CPU load after few hours up to 100% on an iMac (current model). He uses a FTDI chipped adapter.
I will try to duplicate this behavior in the next days using my Prolific adapter. I have no problems with the microHAM.

Anybody using a microHAM?

Please make sure you are using version 5.2.6 or newer? The latest can be found here: http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMlogApp.zip

Tom,

Installed RUMlog 5.2.7, and my CPU usage with K3 control window open is staying very low. So, with a USB to Serial convertor using a Prolific chipset, it looks like the problem is fixed!

Thanks for all the answers. It is not a mavericks issue, it is not a driver problem, it's just my human error. The problem is fixed in version 5.2.6 or newer.
