eQSL with Multiple QTH locations

Unread post by KB5HPL »

It give me an error when I try to import eQSLs via "eQSL in ..."

I have two eQSL QTH locations. I did not find a QTH location in the preferences.

The eQSL API (http://www.eqsl.cc/QSLCard/DownloadInBox.txt) It looks like you need an additional field on the login URL.

QTHNickname = QTH Nickname (if not logged in, if multiple accounts with same callsign)

I will download them manually and get that to work.

OK, I tried manual import, but it seems they are all red. QSL ?

It looks like the information is the same in eQSL, and Logbook.

Yes, I know. This is already fixed and will work in the next major RUMlog update. If you want you can test it here:
http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMtlogToTest.zip
In the eQSL/LoTW preferences you can enter now one QTH nickname. To use another QTH, you have to change the QTH and the "Last eQSL Date". There is no feature provided yet to support multiple accounts.
The login for the K5DX cluster should work now as well. There are some other new features, like a QSL label Editor. There is no documentation yet. The logbook database structure will be changed, so you can not open your log with an older RUMlog version again. You should backup your log first. (Will be done automatically also when opened the first time.) This "Test" version works stable, no known bugs yet.

Can you e-mail me the log (or a part of it) and the eQSL download? Or a screenshot? There should be a difference. Date, call sign, band and mode are checked and must agree.

Thanks for the files. There is really a bug while processing the manually downloaded file. I'm wondering, nobody reported this before. It seems everybody uses the full automatic download feature.
Here the corrected version: http://dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMtlogToTest.zip
Please test and report.

Tom,

It looks like 4.6 alpha 10 fixed the Telnet issue, and the eQSL. I was able to get it to check eQSL with the multiple QTH locations.

But, It is having trouble viewing a log file from 4.5.3. It does not seem to convert it. Also, I tried creating a new log file, and importing an ADIF exported from 4.5.3. But, goes through the motions to import them...for example "it knows the number of QSOs", but after it completes it does not show anything in the log. I tried closing down the program, and restarting.

Also, the import has no reported errors, but completes with two Close buttons. I selected both, but get the same result.

When creating a new log, I get the following message..."index Callidx already exists", press ok.

Please let me know if you want me to try something else.

Also, I get the same result performing the manual and automatic eQSL check.

It is kind of weird...because it does not show a log (or 0 QSOs in log) , but it says that 6 QSOs are not in the log, and 173 were found. This was performed after I imported the log via ADIF import.

Another point, I went back and used RUMlog 4.5.3 to open my old log files...it says "This log file is not compatible". So, it did actually do some kind of conversion.

I will revert back to 4.5.3. Let me know if you want me to test another version.
