New user on Mac and got stuck when updating QSO record with imported file

Unread post by f5ukw »

Hello

I've been trying this great software as my old tool AetherLog is no longer working properly.

So I reimported everything within RUMlogNG and starting to be confident this software works exactly like I wish it to be and seems pretty reliable.

Unless I basically tried to update some QSOs with an export of LoTw (download report from there https://lotw.arrl.org/lotwuser/qsos?qsoscmd=adif)

No matter how many QSOs are in it, RUMlogNG successfully read file, but when I click on Import button, I'm stuck with the infinite loop cursor and even if RMlogNG doesn't crash, it does not respond at all ad I need to force close the app to get back in it.
Once imported program is stuck in a loop
Once imported program is stuck in a loop
Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there a debugging tool somewhere

Thanks for your help

Cédric

I did everything from scratch again. It seems to be clear The issue is related to the feature

Code: Select all

Update QSO record
If I don't use this feature, it works without issue

Tnx for the hint. I corrected a problem and it works now with your provided files. Please check it out yourself: https://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/RUMlogNG_Test.zip

BTW: You should never use this function for LoTW updates! There is a much more performant function available: https://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/docs/en/page ... Prefs.html

I have been trying to do so, but I think something change from Lotw. Before I was using AetherLog and whenever I was synching, it seems it was retrieving all QSO set to Lotw.

My concern Was to automatically update the whole FT8 QSOS at once for a period that's why the merging function could be used.

I'm giving a try in the next half an hour on the test release. Thanks a lot for the update, much appreciate!

Not sure about your intentions yet. Note the QSO update function from qrz.com: https://dl2rum.de/RUMlogNG/docs/en/page ... H_qrz.html
