Cat Kenwood ts940&RumlogNG

Unread post by ea2agv »

Hi.
I just got to the Mac world and I'm not able to run the cat with Rumlog.
I use a Kenwood TS-940 with the piexx card and a rs232 usb adapter from Aten with a prolific chip that up to date has worked perfectly on windows.

The corresponding driver (UC232A) for Mac is installed and in the system information, the correctly identified device appears.
The problem comes at the time of choosing in TX1 the serial port for the cat.
At the beginning, I use as the most similar equipment (850) since the 940 is not in the list, but the most serious is that in serial port Aten should appear and only lets you choose between bluetooth incoming port or not used.

Any idea why it does not work ???
Thanks & 73

When you don't see the adapter in the Port popup menu, you don't have installed the correct driver.
A listed device in the System Profiler doesn't mean this.
