Errrors in log after contest import

I'm a new user of RumLog, just started in the last week or so.
Over the weekend, I was in the IARU HF contest, still using WriteLog in Windows for my contest log (haven't got contesting changed over yet).Today I imported the ADIF contest log, after making some changes in the ADIF file to get additional information imported. Unfortunately, I inadvertently left a > sign off in one spot, and so resulted in all the records having incorrect information in the Operator field.
I've tried to delete the records so I can fix the ADIF file and re-import them, but whenever I try to delete a record (ANY record) the program just beeps at me. How can I get these records deleted so I can make the necessary repairs?
