RUMlogNG is in the Mac App Store

Unread post by DL2RUM »

When you want to use the Apple maps, download the latest version from the MAS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rumlogn ... 4561?mt=12
It's version 1.0.9. Here again the latest changes:

1.0.7 26-February-2015
  • Fixed: HamQTH.com shows now correct US State and County
  • New: Label size Avery 4781 added for QSL label printing
  • New: Text alignment options added for QSL label print out
1.0.8 March-2015
If you are a LoTW user, you have to enter the path to the .tqsl folder! See the Lotw preferences.
  • Fixed: qrz.com shows now the “addr1” information as well - Tnx DF4WA
  • Fixed: CAT control will be disabled now before falling into sleep, this prevents problems after wake up in some configurations
  • Fixed: Edited QSOs are shown now correct - Tnx KK6FNK
  • Fixed: Text alignment on QSL label is affected now correct by settings - Tnx KK6FNK
  • New: Label size Avery 5163 added for QSL label printing
  • New: A click in a QSO row in the LoTW or eQSL In Window shows now all QSOs with this station in the Logging Window
1.0.9 11-March-2015
  • Fixed: Better compatibility for 10.9, was not fixed in 1.0.8 - Tnx K4ZRJ & AL7EK
  • Fixed: Statistics are corrected now for “invalid operation” All invalids count now. Recalculate your statistics to update: Menu–>Logbook–>Recalculate DXCCs Use the search options and select the invalids first. - Tnx NF4L
  • New: You can choose now you own text- and background colors for dx spots in Preferences–>DX Alarm–>Set colors

Congratulations Tom!

Program is working very well for me, and I appreciate the ability to change spot colors in the DX Spots window.

All working nicely Tom, just one or two things:

I still can't get the map to show even though I have installed now from the Apple Store.

Double clicking on a callsign in the band map changes frequency but does not load the callsign into the logging window, that was a very useful feature in Classic (in my opinion).

Thanks for all of your work!

The Maps work.
A click into the band map sets the trx only currently.

Hi Tom,

I had to delete the copy of RumlogNG I was using (the version 1.09 I had downloaded here) before the MAS installation was successful. Maps now working, very nice, thanks!

Happy to report that 1.0.9 resolved many of my issues in OSX 10.9. QRZ XML lookup works great as well as showing my QSO upon application launch. Thank you Tom for your dedicated hard work!

Should I expect to see the maps work in OS X 10.9?

Chris,

Maps works very well under OSX 10.9 with the app store version 1.0.9. I am running 10.9.5 and I'd expect it to work with any version of 10.9.

Thanks for replying. The ZIP download direct from Tom's site does not show map data for me under 9.5, so I'll have to try the App Store version.
Thanks!
