RUMlogNG will not save preferences.

Can't get it to save anything added under RUMlogNG>Preferences.

I add entries, click Close, but the next time I start RUMlogNG, nothing was saved. I'm presented a blank logging window which does not have focus, so I click on the logging window to gain focus, then I can open my log file, but no preferences are retained. The log file seems to be OK, but program preferences are gone.

Version 1.0.7.

I experienced a similar problem with another application. Please reboot your Mac and try again.

I rebooted the Mac and it now seems to save preferences, but, it still will not open the log file that was open when the app was last closed. Plus, after I manually open the log file, I have to change the "ALL QSOs" filter option to finally get the app to display log entries. Still presented with the same initial screen with the October 2014 filter selection.

How do you "reset" the filter (search) values. Don't see a "reset" button like RUMlog had.

Anybody else with this problem?

Charles, please delete the whole RUMlogNG (sandboxed) data folder in your Home: ~/Library/Containers/de.dl2rum.RUMlogNG. Deleting the app itself and reinstalling could be an option as well.
But before you start RUMlogNG again, reboot your Mac!

I would start with fixing permissions.

Did as you requested. Started by verifying/repairing permissions. Deleted app, container folder, preferences cache, everything related to RUMlogNG, and started over from scratch. Rebooted Mac. Imported new log from RUMlog classic, etc. Results same.

It will save preferences, but will not open existing or last used log file in Documents. The app opens with blank logging window which I posted earlier. I can send console log via email if you like, but is essentially the same as I posted in this forum.

The issue has something to do with sandboxing. My own apps I write in Xcode that open files don't seem to have this issue, but I'm on 10.9.5 and Xcode 6.1.1 with 10.9 or 10.10 SDK. I will try loading RUMlogNG on another machine that is not also my development machine, but it will have no access to the K3 or the keyer.

I loaded RUMlogNG on another Mac running 10.9.5 and observed the same behavior.

It will save preferences, but can't save the URL to the log file because of a sandboxing violation.

This violation occurs at the time I manually open the log, when the app tries to save the URL so it can be reopened.
