K3 Macros

Unread post by N1JM »

In both Rumlog and Rumped the K3 macros disappear after closing the program and restarting. What am I missing?

John,

I rarely use macros in RUMped but I do in RUMlog and they are saved.

Did they ever persist for you in RUMlog?

Sometimes they stay, sometimes only one stays. The only thing I really use them for is mute and vox on/off. I haven't decided what else to use them for yet.

I have several that I use pretty regularly.

I use two of them to select my desk mic (PR20) or my boom mic (CM500), and two to change the TX EQ between Rag Chew and DX

TE-16-16-05+00-10+00+00+00; - for Rag chew and,

TE-16-16-05+00-10+10+10+05; - for DX

I also have three power settings programed:

PC100 for 100 Watts and,

PC030 for PSK

PC005 for QRP

Rumlog K3 macros are now sticking now but don't know what I did. Rumped K3 macros do not stick at all. When I exit the program and then re-enter the macros that I saved have disappeared.

John,

your last problem was helpful for troubleshooting. I found out, that the settings for RUMped were saved in the RUMlog preferences file. I used copy and paste for the code and missed to change the file name. In fact RUMped overwrites your RUMlog settings and RUMped reads always empty macros. It will be fixed in the next update.
