Missing US States, etc

First time to try RUMlog & RUMPed over the weekend. It took a while to learn it, but patiently, I think I was able to manage certain functionalities. I do have a couple of questions.
I noticed that the US States window and States information in the log are not tracked. So, if I logged a US QSO, the State in the log is not populated, nor the US States window (no "x" marked). How can I fix this?
I use an FT-950. I am not sure if I have the correct settings, but I cannot seem to have the frequency reflected on the log. Is it suppose to? For instance, if I change the frequency in the radio, should the frequency in the log change as well (as well as the other info, like mode)? If I use the DX Spots or Band Map, and I click on the callsign, should the freq on the radio and/or log change and go that freq? What should I do?
And last (for now), I use LOTW. What is the best way to upload my QSOs to LOTW? To test, I highlighted a QSO from the log and saved it as an ADIF file. Following your instruction to place the tQSL app in the RUMlog folder, I activated TQSL, loaded the ADIF file, then saved the TQ8 file (I noticed that the saved TQ8 file does not have a TQ8 extension). I then went to LOTW and uploaded the TQ8 file. LOTW said my file is on que, but I have not seen it yet (it's been about 11 hours since I loaded the file). Is there a faster way to do this?
Thanks.
