Left over information

If I did a look up in RUMlog of a call with information in the Note or Manager fields, etc. and then double click a call in the DX Spot window to look up that call the information persists from the previous lookup.
If I then work that station and log it, the carry-over information is logged in error.
I can keep that from happening by doing the Command-W command first but often forget.
Would it be possible to have the system do the equalvilent of a Command-W as part of the process when a spot is clicked?
Anything that can save me from my own mistakes is good!
