Accidental Log Entries

Unread post by K6LE »

It seems like I occasionally log a contact when I was looking it up and hit enter instead of tab. (old habit I guess)

I wonder if it would be possible to have a more positive way of actually entering someone in the log. For example a "Log" button or using a key combo like "Command L" ?

Perhaps it could be selectable in Preferences in case someone wants to only use Enter.

Danke,

Rick

Just came from night shift, here a first try: http://www.dl2rum.de/rumsoft/RUMlogApp.zip (Application only)

In the preferences under the "General" tab is a new option: "'Enter' saves the QSO". Please note the style of the log button, when you change this option. If you want to toggle this option more frequently, I could add a menu entry as well. Then you don't need to go to the preferences. Further is there now a menu entry provided for logging the QSO (in the QSO menu). As short cut I choose: Ctrl L

Wonderful!

I like it. Now I'm protected from myself. :-)

Thanks,
