Persistent hiding of logging window?

I am using Rumlog with multiple instances of WSJT-X on different computers, Windows and Mac. It works well, with RumlogNG displaying and logging UDP data from across the network. This way, I can also use my Flex 1500 and other items that will not operate on Macs, even in emulation or Wine.

The issue is that I do not need to see the full logging window all the time. But when it is hidden or minimized by any method, it always reappears in front when it receives a logged call or other data over UDP. The main logging window cannot be made smaller than about 1/4 of my screen, which is already occupied with the WSJT-X window and other items. They do not all fit well together.

I would like the option of hiding or minimizing the main logging window persistently, making viewing a user decision. Is this something already possible that I have missed? I have tried hiding and minimizing the window by every method I know. It always reappears. The app already sends an announcement for successful logging.

One other issue is that I rarely need all the information the main logging window provides. It is very rich. I want to create a small window in another program that displays only the main information harvested from Rumlog using AppleScript. But the main window always reappears anyway. The small window would look something like this:

Perhaps a new feature of RumlogNG could be a small alternative window. A very nice feature of that would be the ability to tune the radio from the window, such as by putting the mouse pointer on the frequency field and using the mouse scroll. Or, if those things cannot be done, it would be helpful to at least have a way to make the hiding of the main window more persistent.

Thank you.

The main window doesn't pop up during UDP logging. It pops up when you have set the Call check option.

Tom:

Thank you as always. I seem to have missed that in the manual. I can now create my mini-window.
