Maybe I missed something, but is there a way to automatically log an FT8 contact in a VHF type contest, directly into the logging window ?
WSJT-X contacts are logged into the regular LOG automatically but NOT into the contest log., and I have to manually enter the call and grid.
This is a real nuisance and prone to typos.
Yes, I manually log SSB CW contact sure, but FT8 or other digital stuff is really a pain.

Sure, see the Contest Preferences under the UDP tab.

I have WSJT-x sends out on broadcast on 2237 to Grid Tracker then Grid trackers sends out on 2238 to Rumlog...
works great in normal daily DX ing...

In Contest however nothing goes to the contest window...

The program wsjt and jtdx send the contact to my main log but not to the RUMLOG contest log window..

Example if I set QSO's received from ADIF on port 2333 with WSJT X .. I get 2 entries in the main log if also select under WSJT-X Save QSO to logbook.

So how to set ports etc send from WSJT to CONTEST Window and Contest Log in real time...

I don't see anything...there...

My fault: The tab is labeled Network.
The contest doesn't use the ADIF broadcast, it is already deprecated.

What do I set , so that WSJT QSO is automatically sent to the contest logging window (call and grid), to avoid manual entry mistakes.
Currently the QSO goes to my main log automatically., but not to the contest file.

Non contest automatic logging from WSJT and JTDX to Rumlog works fine....

Please explain procedure settings, what have I missed?

Your screen shot shows the logbook preferences, not the contest preferences.
When the contest window has the focus, go to: Menu-->Contest-->Contest Preferences-->Network
