LOTW - The file couldn't be opened

Hello:

I have an M2 Max with macOS 15.1.1and have been using RumLogNg 5.18.3 for logging for a while. Earlier this fall I started running into an issue (this had previously worked) where I am no longer able to upload LOTW. When I attempt to upload I get an error stating: "Can't use tqsl 1: The file couldn't be opened because it isn't in the correct format."

I've reinstalled TQSL and ensured that the "Select path to tqsl application" and "Select path to .tqsl folder" are correctly set. I've ensured that the password is correct so I am a bit of a loss.

This and similar issues were reported before. A reboot of your Mac should help.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've tried that a number of times and had no luck.

Try this:
  • Quit RUMlog
  • In the Terminal run the command: defaults delete de.dl2rum.RUMlogNG "tqslFolderUrlStringSecured"
  • Reboot the Mac
  • Start RUMlog and repeat the procedure to set the path to the .tqsl folder
