FTDX10 @RUMLOGNG @Sonoma

update 1 on 07.09.24:
I thought it works, but it doesn't.
Sometime it synchronises FTDX10 with RUMLOGNG, sometime not .
I thought it is EMC, poor cable, etc. but it did not work even direct connected to the laptop, without docking unit.
Then, here in this blog, I've found Rafal's receipt using MacPorts, but it did not worked either.
Now I'm considering back to the roots, i.e. to my FT7B

Im FTDX10 Dokument FTDX10_CAT_OM_ENG_2308-F, "CAT (Computer Aided Transceiver) Operation", sagt Yaesu:
“To connect to a PC using a USB cable, a Virtual COM port driver must be installed on the PC.
Visit the Yaesu website http://www.yaesu.com/ to download the Virtual COM port driver and Installation Manual.”
Nur der Virtual COM port driver dort ist für PC.
Der macOS FTDX10 user group sagt “installiere Silicon Labs VCP Driver”:

Der Silicon Labs driver ist:
CP210x VCP Mac OSX Driver v6.0.1 3/31/2021
Von früheren macOS Versionen war ich gewöhnt SW im User Account zu installieren, der Admin Passwort prompte unterwegs. Seit dem Apple die Installation der Kernel Extensions überwacht und gegebenenfalls blockiert, geht es nur und problemlos vom Admin Account. Während der Installation kommt in System Settings, Privacy & Security, eine Frage nach Bestätigung, das war's.
IM RUMLOGNG Settings, unter TX1, CAT: Serial port, sieht man dann 2 USB Einträge:
SLAB_USBtoUART8 und SLAB_USBtoUART
Der Haken setzt man bei SLAB_USBtoUART weil der USB port mit der Nummer bekommt bei jedem Einschalten eine andere Nummer.
Der letzte Schritt ist:
In ftdx10 Einstellungen, Operation Settings, General, CAT RTS ausschalten,
oder alternativ,
man kann das CAT RTS eingeschaltet belassen (default) und im RUMLOG Settings einen Haken bei Flow Control RTS/CTS machen.
Damit ist der Yaesu up and running.
