In the DXCC List window my CW and TOTAL wrk/cfd looks OK, however, all but a very few phone contacts are sorting as Digi. Does this screen sort on mode? Any idea what could cause this? BTW, I had to change the frequency band plan to US bands to get a good ADIF import with out errors. Could this be causing the issue? If sorting is done on mode, I don't see how this should effect the issue. Hopefully it is something simple I am doing wrong. Thanks. /Jim

Hi Jim, this could be a hard work to find the faulty entries. Once the QSOs are imported, the original mode will be used. During an import the mode will not be compared against the band plan. Only frequency and band have to match, when both information are provided. This can not be the problem.

Did I understand correct, in the sum you are missing some DXCCs in phone, and you have to much in digi, compared to your old logger????

Do you know which DXCCs are missing in phone? A good practice could be to use the "Search Window" or the Search options in the log window to get a table of all QSOs with an affected DXCC.

Below is a comparison of the statistics between loggers. I think I figured out what happened. My old logger lists mode as either USB or USB, not SSB. When I did a search in RUM on SSB nothing shows up. My QSOs import and are listed in RUM as USB or LSB not SSB. I don't know how they get picked up as DIGI.

Oh, now I understood. My thought was, you are missing few entries only. You are missing nearly all.
LSB and USB are not valid ADIF conform modes! See http://www.adif.org/adif224.htm#Mode%20Enumeration
Do you have an option in DXbase, to map the mode to a valid ADIF mode?
Since LSB and USB is not valid, RUMlog interpreted this wrong. CW-->CW, SSB+FM+AM-->Phone and the rest should be Digi. You have to discard the log, and start again. I guess all your logged LSB and USB QSOs are counted in RUMlog as Digi.

You have 3 options:

• Create a correct file in accordance to the ADIF specification
• Edit the ADIF text file, using e text editor and use "Find and Replace all" to exchange all "LSB" and "USB" entries to "SSB"
• You can wait, until I modified the RUMlog import routine to catch this failure.

Thanks again, Tom. All is well. I just used TextEdit on my .adif file, did a find and replace on USB and LSB to SSB, re-created a new RUM log file, imported my modified .adif file and "bingo" a perfect match. It took about 3 minutes to correct. I appreciate the help. Thanks. 73/Jim, W3BG
