Contest exchange repeated information

Unread post by M0LEP »

I usually never try contests, but just once in a while someone twists my arm hard enough and I spend a while trying to get somewhere. This morning the contest in question was the RSGB 50MHz Contest CW, which uses the same rules as the more regular RSGB VHF Activity Contests. The first thing I noticed was that quite a few of the signal reports were not 5nn, but something more informative. The second thing was that everyone I could hear was repeating each of the items in the contest exchange, so that rather than:

Code: Select all

559 001 IO81TQ
the exchange sent would be:

Code: Select all

559 559 001 001 IO81TQ IO81TQ
Now, obviously, I could resort to simply repeating the single exchange manually, but is there a way to make RUMlogNG repeat the individual elements in a contest exchange as shown above automatically?

You exchange message F2 should look like this: <RST> <RST> <1st part> <1st part> <2nd part> <2nd part>
