The most popular device for RUMlogging

Since RUMlog supports the iCloud sync, Apple provides me with real time telemetry data whenever a user accesses the iCloud server. There are not much, but few interesting data: An anonymous user id, a timestamp, the used hardware and the OS version. In last the ten days I watched the telemetry data over a time period of about 70 hours, mainly during my local afternoon and evening. In this time I have tracked 1004 different RUMlog users.
It's interesting to see, that RUMlog is running on 158 different devices with 54 versions of the operating system. Similar models with different options (CPU, RAM, SSD, …) are considered as the same device. I have in the hardware list:

• 81 Macs
• 46 iPads
• 30 iPhones
• 1 Virtual machine

84.7% of the users are running RL on a Mac computer.
20.1% of the users are running RL on an iPhone.
14.1% of the users are running RL on an iPad.


The most popular devices are:

1. 8.3% - MacBook Air M1 2020
2. 8.2% - Mac mini M1 2020
3. 3.4% - MacBook Pro M1 8 Core 3.2 13" 2020
4. 3.4% - iMac M1 24” 2021
5. 3.3% - MacBook Pro 14" M1 Pro 2021

The oldest device I've seen is an iMac from 2009.
The most used iPhone is the iPhone 14 Pro (2022) and the most used iPad the Apple iPad 10.2" 7th Gen Wi-Fi Only (2019).
One user is running RUMlog on five different devices. No, that's not me!
