OS X 13.0 Ventura, Serial interface

Unread post by dl2jml »

https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-t ... cp-drivers

RUMlogNG could not connect to my Yaesu FT-991a under OS X 13.0. The serial interface was not found.

A tedious search found that the VCP drivers from silabs should be installed. OS X has the driver for the chip, but needs this additional driver to activate the serial interface. The driver is not on the Yaesu site, but here: https://www.silabs.com/developers/usb-t ... cp-drivers

Silabs is the manufacturer of the USB to serial chip in the Yaesu and probably the same chip is used in other transceivers. I leave this info here in case someone has the same problem.
