Contest Module: definition of "DUPE" in a state QP

Unread post by K9QJS »

Is the contest module in RumLogNG able to define a "dupe", for a US state QSO party, as being callsign plus county (plus band and mode)?

In the WA State QP which I just finished, a number of rover stations would sit on a county line and I would log two QSOs for them, one for each county. But the second QSO would be considered a dupe. I could still log it, but it would not be included in the scoring calculation of the contest module.

I've been using RumLog & RumLogNG for years and keep learning more about it. I really appreciate Tom's work!

For the most State QSO Parties RUMLog is smart enough, but not for all. I have to check.
But don't worry, calculating points and dupe recognition is not part of the Cabrillo log.
