FT-DX101D connection to RUMlogNG

Unread post by M0MGP »

Good evening fellow operators,

I have recently been introduced to RumlogNG and find it very suitable for my needs.

Has anyone successfully managed to connect a FT-DX101D to the software yet?

I notice there is no USB connection and no 101D or MP radio in the dropdown however I am pretty sure the Ft3000 is very similar coding although I am currently using a USB lead as it is convenient for my contest software and other applications.

Is there any possibility that the 101D and MP can be added along with usb compatibility in the future as I currently use it with the frequency showing in kHz so the band data does not work either, also when clicking on a cluster spot the radio will not change frequency either, a bit inconvenient although I can correct the kHz problem in log doctor but not the cluster problem.

I will try a serial to USB tomorrow however I am not convinced that will work until it is coded for the 101D and USB connection

To implement a new trx model in to RUMlog for CAT control I need a remote access to the radio via internet. If you are willing to help with your FT-DX101D and you are able to configure your home network accordingly (port forwarding) please contact me direct.

Have you managed to add the FTDX101 to RUMLOGNG? I have just traded my IC7300 for a 101 and would like to continue logging on RUMLOGNG.

I appear to have go the CAT interface working the 101 now. It’s one of things you don’t do that often so took a bit of fiddling to get things working. Miss the spectrum scope in RUMLOGNG that I had with the IC7300. Any chance you may be able to add the spectrum/waterfall from the FTDX101?

No, I don't have any access to a Yaesu.

How do I get the second VFO for the FTDX101 into Rumlogng? Only reads out the main VFO...

Only VFO A is supported. Maybe flrig can serve you?
