dB and WPM in Spots panel

Unread post by EA3HOE »

Hi Tom!

NC7J skimmer not only reports frequencies and callsigns, it also reports signal strength and keying speed. Is it possible to add these fields as well to the DX Spots window? I think it would be a great enhancement which allows us to find the right call to respond to. Specially the speed is important to me, a beginning CW operator.

Format of the skimmer reports:

Code: Select all

DX de NC7J-#: 7027.6 W8GEX 20 dB 23 WPM 1140Z
DX de NC7J-#: 3537.6 K8FU 19 dB 28 WPM 1140Z
DX de NC7J-#: 3525.3 KT0A 42 dB 26 WPM 1140Z
DX de NC7J-#: 3550.0 VE2HO 6 dB 10 WPM 1140Z
Thanks for all your great work,

Ton.

Currently I can’t recommend the connection to RBN. A rate up to 50 spots per second slows down RUMlog dramatically.
