Hi,
I tried the internal keyer with the Transceiver - TS-480 setting for my QMX+ (that's the model recommended for it).
But the word spacing is too short, the keying basically sends the words back to back. Is there a setting that does this, or is it something else?
Thanks!
Keyer word spacing with QMX+ (as TS-480)
Re: Keyer word spacing with QMX+ (as TS-480)
Thanks,
I tried the Serial DTR setting and then selecting the USB port for the QMX but there is no keying on the transceiver with this setup. Rumlog shows that it's keying but there is nothing happening on the transceiver. It "works" when I select TS-480 and the "transceiver" setting albeit with strange word spacings. Sometimes the spacing now is very very long

For reference,
I got help from the QMX forums and I now have a working setup.
On your QMX:
I got help from the QMX forums and I now have a working setup.
On your QMX:
- Change the keyer to Straight
- CW - CW Keyer - Key from USB DTR - USB 1
- The TX settings should be Kenwood TS-480 and the correct USB port should be selected
- And lastly the settings in the image above in RUMlogNG: CW Interface: Serial DTR and "Use transceiver port"
