SatPathFinder TRX Control Doppler shift compensation

Unread post by db4ta »

Hello,
today I wanted to work with RS-44 (SSB transponder) with the Icom 705 and the automatic trx control with retuning of the Doppler shift.
The compensation of the Doppler shift works well in FM, in SSB I noticed that it is not possible to change frequency for search a QSO partner on a 60kHz wide transponder in portable mode because the frequency is always reset. Would it be possible to change the TRX control in a future version so that manual tuning is possible via the VFO of the 705 and the Doppler compensation takes over again after the change with the new frequency?

  • Connect to the TRX, switch on TRX Control to set bands and modes initially.
  • Switch off TRX control.
  • Use the VFO knob for tuning.
  • Once you have found a station press the button with the down pointing arrow.
