VUCC tracking with RumlogNG

Unread post by vu2cpl »

Hello all,

Is there a way we can do VUCC award tracking on rumlogNG? similar to the current DXCC, WAZ and WAS menu items? The current grid doesn't differentiate between VHF / UHF and HF...

Thanks in advance.

Tom,

The numbers shown are for combined HF/VHF/UHF.

Is there a way we can select only confirmations/ worked on VHF/ UHF alone? ( VUCC only)

Now, when the widow opens, it starts calculating grids for all bands, QSL states and after a very long time, the program goes into " Not responding" state, and I have to force quit the application.

Hi Tom,

This is the only screen I have seen so far.......The screenshot you posted looks promising. Will try to reach that stage....

Hold the mouse over a box to see the number per band.
How many QSOs do you have in your logbook? Here it takes 10 seconds only for 21.000 QSOs and 1100 different grids

The user interface should be always responsible, since other threads are used.

Thanks Tom,

I will try that. I have 44523 QSOs across 13 bands. I have left it to search for last 10+ minutes.

Hi Tom,

Just an update. It took 11 minutes to reach the screen like yours with 41k QSOs and 1746 Squares.
Trying to narrow down only lotw confirmed grids, it took another 11 minutes with 1518 Squares.
I am using a Late 2014 mac mini with Dual core i5 2.6Ghz/ 8 GB Ram and SSD.
It may help if there is an option to see only HF or only VHF grids, or an option to elect bands.

I've just doubled my logbook, now with 42.000 QSOs. As expected now it takes 20 seconds.
Maybe you database needs some optimisations. Maybe I can optimise the code further.
Your help with a big logbook file is much appreciated.
