Cannot change mode to FT8
Cannot change mode to FT8
Somehow a FT8 QSO was badly imported from wsjt-x into rumlogng. The log is showing SSB instead of FT8.
I cannot change this QSO back to FT8 because FT8 is not an option in the Mode drop-down.
Can you add this option?
Thanks,
Ton.

Re: Cannot change mode to FT8
For compatibility reasons, RUMlog supports ADIF conform modes only:http://adif.org/305/ADIF_305.htm#Mode_Enumeration
If you want to use other modes on your own risk, you can edit the file Modes&Submodes.txt. The format is simple:
Mode, submode, submode, submode, …
Mode, submode, submode, submode, …
The file is located in your users directory: ~/Library/Containers/de.dl2rum.RUMlogNG/Data/Library/Application Support/de.dl2rum.RUMlogNG/
You may experience problems during ex- and imports when you use the standard. LoTW don’t accept other modes. You have to edit the mapping table in the tqsl application. I don’t have info about eqsl, Global QSL or Club Log.

Pete,
The ADIF Committee is currently meeting to add new modes to the ADIF Specification.
This should take a few weeks. After they release their latest version of the ADIF Specification, we will put out a new configuration file for TQSL which will contain the FT8 mode.

Would Mode be DATA and SubMode be FT8? Like:
Code: Select all
DATA,FT8

Re: Cannot change mode to FT8
The ADIF specification v3.0.6 was approved by the ADIF committee yesterday.
The ARRL has today released v11.1 of config.xml, needed to update
TrustedQSL with the new mode.
So it's now possible to upload logs to LoTW with mode as FT8, no longer
mapped to DATA.
