RUMlog 3.3.2

Unread post by DL2RUM »

One new amazing online feature was added, the interactivity with Google Maps and Google Earth. Google Maps will be shown in your default web browser, to use Google Earth you must have installed this application on your computer.
You can use these features from two locations in RUMlog: in the Main Logging Window and in the Sun, Direction and Distance Computation Window. Further suggestions are welcome. In the Main Logging Window use the new 'Maps' menu, in the calculations window new push buttons are provided.

Read the attached What's new??? file in the RUMlog folder for further information.

New in RUMlog 3.3.1

Unread post by DL2RUM »

Last night I have had the idea to add look ups at qrz.com. Also an Auto function was added to show a location in Google Maps or Google Earth after each DXCC change without further user action to keep synchron.

Read the attached What's new??? file in the RUMlog folder for further information.

New in version 3.3.2
• A QSL look up at qrz.com added. Go to Menu-->QSL-->Show qrz.com QSL
• Clicked links in the qrz.com windows open now in your default web browser
• The menu item Show qrz.com to show the station info has moved from the Maps to the QSO menu.

Read the attached What's new??? file in the RUMlog folder for further information.

Hi Tom,

Glad to see some real cool stuff added :)

Is there anyway we can add growl support to the cluster alerts?

For me this would be awesome, working in 20 terminals all day and having much needed spots to pop up in growl would just be
perfect.

Hi Lee,

never heard about it. After a short test, it looks very interesting to me and it seems to be a powerful tool. It should not be a big deal to implement it in RUMlog. Further ideas to support growl are welcome.
Currently I'm planning another RUMlog update, no big changes but changes which take a little bit more time.
Stay tuned.

Awesome!

Growl is great. It's real handy with mail, and pretty much anything else you need to see when it happens and you are not in the app.
There are cool scripts to watch hardware temps and the such, neat stuff.

Cool, I will keep the ideas coming!
