Edit DXCC

Unread post by K9TF »

The EditDXCC Call Download and Upload feature is an very nice enhancement to the program. Works well.

I have log entries that go back to 1968 and I have a few deleted countries. I have added a couple of Prefix entries. I was not sure on a couple of these what a good start date would be. There are many of these type of changes listed at http://www.arrl.org/deleted-entities the additions below worked for me to covered my deleted countries and get my DXCC and DXCC Challenge counts in line.

KR6 ## 1903-01-01 1972-05-14
KZ5 ## 1903-01-01 1979-09-30
OK ## 1903-01-01 1992-12-31
OL ## 1903-01-01 1992-12-31
OM ## 1903-01-01 1992-12-31
Y2 ## 1973-09-17 1990-10-02

If anyone is interested I can look at the ARRL Web page and figure out a few of these Prefix entities that are deleted if you wish.

Back in the day I built my own windows logging program using batch files.

You can email me at wa9ysd@yahoo.com

After looking at my log I had also added
Y3, Y4, Y5, Y6, Y7, Y8, Y9 with the same dates as Y2 and set them All to Deleted.

Be carful with Y88POL since he is in the Antarctic. You may have to make an exception for this one.

Since the prefixes Y2-Y9 are not given to another country yet, it is not required at put it into the database and to mark these as deleted. When a prefix will not be found in the database, it will not be assigned. Per default RUMlog does not handle "Deleted Countries"! (But you can add it, this is another story)
Take care, between 1990-10-03 and 1992-12-31 these prefixes are valid for DL!
