Callsign vs. Cluster login

Unread post by SM7IUN »

I have few questions regarding the DX Cluster functionality.

1. What is the purpose of the call sign list in the Cluster settings page?

2. For which Clusters does the autologin work? It does not work for e.g. VE7CC

2. If I specify my call as M/SM7IUN (perfectly valid) in the Log Settings for the current log file, I cannot log into the HamQTH DX cluster node.
The HamQTH cluster node dismisses this call as invalid. Is this expected? How do I get around this? Uncheck auto login?

Thanks for a great piece of software.

Here entered callsigns will be marked in the dx spots. Useful when you are looking for a particular station.

I will check VE7CC.

Do you remember the good old days, when we accessed the dx-cluster via packet radio? A lot of dx-clusters are still using these callsign restrictions. When the cluster responses with "Invalid call", then you can't use it.

Thanks Tom, much appreciated. As a workaround I disabled auto login and defined
a cluster macro with my home call sign that I click when I log on to the cluster.
