OSX 10.9.5 RUMtrol7k-RT Connectivity

Unread post by WA0TJT »

I can not connect to my 7000 from RUMtrol7k-RT v2.1. I can connect just fine from RUMlog and from all my other digital apps (fldigi, WSJT-x).
I'm using CI-V so my port is usbserial, I have Baud set to 9600 and none of the boxes checked. However I've obviously tried each one at a time and in combination. Usually the port says something like tty.usbserial but here it says usbserial only. Could this be part of the issue?
I don't get an error, it just doesn't read or write to the XCVR.

Has anyone successfully used RUMtrol with this version of the OSX?

Make sure, the baud rate in the radio is not set to Auto!

Thanks....

I liked the idea of the baud rate not being set to 'Auto'. But I tried 4800 and 9600 and 19200 and matched them in the app. Unfortunately it didn't seem to help.

Do you have any boxes checked in the preferences?

Quick update: When I change the frequency on the radio, the frequency readout on the app changes. But the reverse is not true, nothing happens.
Additionally, making any other changes not the radio is not reflected in the app. For example turning on the preamp.
