How to add South Sudan as new DXCC?

Unread post by DL2RUM »

Since the ITU hasn't assigned a prefix yet and there is no ADIF number provided, the following is unofficial:
  • start EditDXCC.app
  • select the "DXCC" tab
  • push the "Add Row" button to create a new entry
  • click into the cells to enter the data. You have to click once to select the line and once to make the cell editable. But no double-click!
    • DXCC: ST0 - or what ever, needs to be changed later
    • Country: South Sudan
    • CQ: 34
    • ITU: 38
    • Cnt.: Af
    • ADIF#: 521 - is the next in sequence
    • Locator: KJ54LL - example
  • select the "Calls" tab
  • push the "Add Row" button to create a new entry
  • click into the cells to enter the data:
    • Full Call: ST0R
    • DXCC: ST0 - or what ever you entered above under DXCC, these entries must match!
    • From: 2011-07-23
    • Until: 2011-08-12
  • push on "DXCC" in the table header to keep the table sorted by the prefix
  • push the Save button
  • restart RUMlog or use the "Reload in RUMlog" button when RUMlog is running.
  • select all your QSOs with ST0R in RUMlog (use the call field on the bottom when Menu-->Logbook-->Show Search Options is checked)
  • use Menu-->QSO-->Recalculate DXCC-->with zones

Once an official prefix is assigned :
  • start EditDXCC.app
  • change the prefix (ST0) to the 'main' prefix under the "DXCC" and under the "Calls" tab
  • select the "Prefix" tab
  • for each prefix (if applicable) push the "Add Row" button to create a new entry and click into the cells to enter the data:
    • Prefix: the new prefix
    • DXCC: the 'main' prefix
    • From: the affected date YYYY-MM-DD
    • To: 2030-12-31
  • push on "Prefix" in the table header to keep the table sorted by the prefix
  • push the "Save" button
When the ADIF number is different to 521, you have to recalculate the DXCCs for the affected QSOs again. (see above)
