globalqsl adif, rumlog adi

Unread post by hb9fmu »

Hi there
I am new to rumlog, searched the threads but found no answer to globalqso adif problems.

Globalqsl did not accept the adif files I produced using hand QSL in / QSL print /ADIF.
Globalqso said it only accepts adi. So I changed the suffix manually, but it didn't work either.

Any help?

Many thanks

Hi Phil,

are you sure the file is named *.adi not *.adi.adif ? OS-X is doing sometimes crazy things when renaming a file.

With the .adi extension you get the same error message?

Hi Tom

Sorry, it' s the other way round. Rumlog created a file with the suffix adif, which was rejected by globalqsl. So I changed the suffix manually to adi which seemed to work. The upload wasn't rejected anymore but the log could not be processed.

By the way: I am fascinated by your programme! Going to buy a mac mini, so I can use rumlog for DXing at home and I can practise with Morsetrainer and N1MM for our clubevents (no macs there) on the same machine.

Hi Tom

with the adif extension upload doesn't work.
with adi extension, upload takes a long time and I get this message on the website

LOG file uploaded to the server and will be parsed and prepared for the Step 2.

Later I receive an email saying

Lieber HB9CA, leider konnten die Daten aus Ihrem hochgeladenen ADIF File (01-Jan-1970 02:00) nicht in die Datenbank von GlobalQSL aufgenommen werden.

Why the date is set to 1970 I don't know. My mac is properly set.

Can you e-mail me the adif file please
Irgendwer hat sich mal dieses Feature für Global QSL gewünscht, deshalb denke ich, daß es schon mal funktioniert hat.

Hi Tom,
today I upload a file to GlobalQSL:
The file is ok but please change the file-extension from 'adif' to 'adi'.
GlobalQSL accept only files with 'adi ' :o

I think, thats only a little problem ...

Hi Karl-Heinz

I tried to upload an adi File with Version 4.2.2
Did not work, globalqsl can't process the file.

I used the QSL-Print Window.

System here: OS X 10.4.11

Did globalqsl accept your upload?
