Applescript and RUMped

Unread post by 2E0SKI »

Hello,

This is might be a silly question, but could I use Applescript to assist in inputting data into RUMped, such as callsign and exchange? This would be used for modes that are not directly supported by RUMped, such as MFSK etc.

The idea is that I'd use cocoaModem oe some other app to do the operate, and then use Applescript script or similar to transfer the required data.

RUMped is not scriptable yet, but it should not be a big deal to add the major logging functions. The problem is to implement a new operating mode, this would be a hard work. Which modes do you would use? For MFSK it is more practical to remote control cocoaModem in the same way like in RTTY or PSK.

I will think about it, but I'm very busy with RUMlog at the present time.

I've just checked the cM documentation. There is no way to read the exchange vie Applescript.
