TIME_ON for ADIF exports?
I prefer to record both the QSO Start Time and the QSO End Time for all my QSOs, so in RUMLogNG on macOS I set the time field in the top left of the log panel (to the left of the Callsign field) to log the QSO end time, and I mapped the User_1 field to TIME_ON, which is automatically filled whenever...

RUMLogNG2Go on iPad interfaced with KX3 using an RS232-to-Bluetooth converter
I have successfully interfaced RUMLogNG2Go on an iPad with an Elecraft KX3 using an RS232-to-Bluetooth converter purchased online. I've been wanting to interface RUMLogNG2Go on my iPad with a KX3 using a Bluetooth LE device. This method is supported by RUMLogNG2Go, but until recently the only Blueto...

Re: KX3 and iPad connectivity with RUMLogNG2Go
Since finished end-user commercial products like the ones I mentioned are now available, and their documentation publishes their UUID, wouldn't it be possible to add to RUMLogNG2Go the ability for the user to enter a UUID instead of hard-coding the UUIDs of the Adafruit or HC boards in the app? This...

Re: KX3 and iPad connectivity with RUMLogNG2Go
I bought a Bluetooth LE module through Amazon.com to see if it would enable RUMLogNG2Go to talk with my Elecraft KX3. It is a model DX-CP26 RS232 to Bluetooth Serial Adapter, a product of Daxia Longgue in China. It functions as a Bluetooth LE slave device. I connected it to my Elecraft KX3 using Ele...

Re: RUMlogNG2Go and Bluetooth
In looking at the Adafruit UART and other options for enabling RUMlogNG2GO to talk to a radio, I ran across a Bluetooth LE device that looks like it might work right out of the box to provide an interface for serial communication between an iPad and a radio. https://www.usconverters.com/rs232-serial...

KX3 and iPad connectivity with RUMLogNG2Go
What is the current state-of-the-art for using RUMLogNG2Go on a newer iPad to interface with an Elecraft KX3 transceiver? I have a two-year old, 5th generation, iPad. It has an Apple M1 cpu chip and supports Thunderbolt 3/USB 4 (USB-C) connectivity. It also has a Cellular connection, along with Wi-F...

Re: Moving Rumlog to new computer
I also copied /Users/myuser/Library/Containers/RUMLogNG to another Mac (Mac mini M2 to MacBook Pro) and it worked ok. Picked up all my preferences. Thanks for the good advice!

Re: Dx Spot windows limit aging time shown
The ability to specify a maximum age (in minutes) for spots listed in the DX SPOTS window would be a helpful enhancement to the program.

Re: Beam heading determination in DX Spots window?
Hi Tom. I was looking at the "Hdg." column in the "DX Spots" window when I saw the incorrect value for Puerto Rico. Also, I was connected to an AR Cluster instead of a DX Spider cluster. The headings for all the other spots seemed to be appropriate. It was just that single value ...

Beam heading determination in DX Spots window?
I am a new RUMlogNG user, and I want to know how the "heading" in the DX Spots window is determined. I noticed that a spot for a KP4 (Puerto Rico) station shows the Heading as 270 degrees, which is incorrect since I am located in Chicago. I did set my grid square correctly in the Preferenc...
